Pileusthin, coriaceous, imbricate, effused-reflexed, 1.5-2.5 cm. broad ; surface brownishtawny, silkytomentulose, margin sterile: lamellae plicate, unequal, interrupted, narrow, angular, obtuse, undulate or crisped, white, becoming inconspicuous at times on drying, but reappearing on the application of moisture: spores minute, narrowly cylindric, slightly curved, hyaline, 5-6/^ long.
