Suffruticose or f ruticose liana, essentially glabrous throughout ; leaves firmly membranaceous, apparently somewhat succulent, elliptic, 7.5-12 cm. long, 3.5-7 cm. broad, acuminate, broadly obtuse at the base, the petioles 8-13 mm. long; inflorescences rather irregularly dichasial, about as long as the subtending leaves, bearing several, rather small, yellowishgreen (?) flowers; pedicels 8-10 mm. long; calyx-lobes ovate, acuminate, 3-5 mm. long; corolla salverform, the tube 7-8 mm. long, about 1.5 mm. in diameter at the base, the lobes narrowly ellipticlanceolate, long-acuminate, 14-16 mm. long; ovary somewhat longer than the barbate nectaries; follicles unknown.
Type locality: Rancho Flores, Costa Rica. Distribution: Known only from the type locality.
