Acanthopterygii is a superorder of ray-finned fishes. There are 18005 species of Acanthopterygii, in 2947 genera and 300 families. This superorder has been around since the upper cretaceous epoch. It includes groups like Flatfishes and Anglerfishes. They have sexual reproduction.
