Arachnis picta perotensis Schaus.–Seitz, 1919, p. 315.

Forewing 20.0 mm. Front of head yellowish grey, vertex white. Thorax and forewing white, yellowish grey and black. Hindwing white, with yellowish grey markings; anal area orange-red. Dorsal surface of abdomen orange-red, with lateral row of dark greyish brown markings on each side and dark greyish brown medial band (broadest posteriorly); ventral surface white.

Described from one male and three females from “Cofre de Perote,” Mexico. There are three female paralectotypes from Las Vigas (north of Cofre de Perote) in the USNM.
