They are native to GoiáS, ParaíBa, Pantanal, Pampa, Piauí, Mata Atlântica, Alagoas, Bahia, Cerrado, Sergipe, Santa Catarina, SãO Paulo, Espirito Santo, Distrito Federal, Rio Grande Do Norte, Paraná, Mato Grosso, Pernambuco, Mato Grosso Do Sul, Rio De Janeiro, Minas Gerais, and Rio Grande Do Sul. They have simple, broad leaves. Individuals can grow to 0.3 m.
