Byttneria scabra is a species of shrub in the family mallows. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to Minas Gerais, Mato Grosso, Pampa, Roraima, Amapá, Mata Atlântica, Paraná, Caatinga, Bahia, SãO Paulo, Distrito Federal, AmazôNia, Cerrado, GoiáS, Mato Grosso Do Sul, Rio Grande Do Sul, Pantanal, and Pará. They have simple, broad leaves.
