Schistura bucculenta (Smith 1945)

Schistura bucculenta és una espècie de peix de la família dels balitòrids i de l'ordre dels cipriniformes.^[5]

Morfologia

Els mascles poden assolir els 10,4 cm de longitud total.^[6]

Distribució geogràfica

Es troba a la conca del riu Mekong al nord de Tailàndia^[7] i de Laos.^{[2][8][6][4][9][10][11]}

Amenaces

Les seues principals amenaces són la desforestació, les pràctiques agrícoles gens sostenibles i les modificacions fluvials que redueixen o interrompen el cabal d'aigua dels rius.^[12]

Schistura bucculenta is a species of ray-finned fish in the stone loach genus Schistura. It has been recorded from the Mekong basin in Laos and Thailand, records elsewhere being due to misidentification. It has been recorded in streams and forest creeks which have a moderate to fast current running over a gravel to stone substrate. It is threatened by deforestation and agriculture.^[1]

Schistura bucculenta is een straalvinnige vissensoort uit de familie van de bermpjes (Nemacheilidae).^[1] De wetenschappelijke naam van de soort is voor het eerst geldig gepubliceerd in 1945 door Smith.
