Schizachyrium spicatum is a species of perennial herb in the family true grasses. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to Mata Atlântica, Rio Grande Do Sul, Rio De Janeiro, Santa Catarina, Paraná, and Pampa. They have simple, broad leaves. Individuals can grow to 0.11 m.
