Asclepias curassavica (Bloodflower) is a species of shrub in the family Apocynaceae. They are native to Santa Catarina, Rio De Janeiro, Espirito Santo, Minas Gerais, Pernambuco, Caatinga, Acre (Brazil), Mato Grosso, Cerrado, Alagoas, Mata Atlântica, Pantanal, Ceará, Sergipe, Mato Grosso Do Sul, Maranhao, Amapá, Distrito Federal, SãO Paulo, GoiáS, Paraná, Rio Grande Do Sul, Bahia, Piauí, Rio Grande Do Norte, Amazônia, Pampa, and Pará. Flowers are visited by Gray Hairstreak, Danaus plexippus plexippus, Lycorea cleobaea halia, and Monarch.
