Anacardium occidentale (Cashew) is a species of tree in the family Anacardiaceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to Sergipe, Distrito Federal, Acre (Brazil), Minas Gerais, Mato Grosso, Bahia, Rio Grande Do Norte, Pernambuco, Roraima, Rio De Janeiro, Caatinga, GoiáS, Cerrado, Espirito Santo, Pampa, Mata Atlântica, Tocantins, SãO Paulo, Maranhao, Pantanal, Amazônia, ParaíBa, Mato Grosso Do Sul, Alagoas, Pará, Piauí, Ceará, and Amapá. They have compound, broad leaves and drupes. Flowers are visited by Trigona spinipes and Honey bee. Individuals can grow to 10 m.
