Acer platanoides (Norway Maple) is a species of tree in the family Sapindaceae. They are native to Norway, Yugoslavia, France, Spain, Italy, Sweden, Belarus, Switzerland, Bulgaria, Greece, Russia, Romania, Hungary, Estonia, Kyrgyzstan, Albania, Poland, Georgia, Czech Republic, Finland, Afghanistan, Belgium, Austria, Azerbaijan, Iran, Eastern North America, Tajikistan, Armenia, Lithuania, Germany, and Latvia. They have green flowers. Flowers are visited by Nomada flava, European tar spot, Melangyna umbellatarum, and Meliscaeva auricollis. Individuals can grow to 50 feet.
