Symplocos tinctoria (Common Sweetleaf) is a species of shrub in the family Symplocaceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to The Contiguous United States and Eastern North America. They have simple, broad leaves and yellow flowers. Flowers are visited by Blueberry Habropoda. Individuals can grow to 40 feet.
