Persicaria virginiana (Jumpseed) is a species of annual herb in the family Polygonaceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to Canada, The Contiguous United States, North America, and South America. They have simple, broad leaves and achenes. Flowers are visited by Ocyptamus fuscipennis, Psorophora ferox, Toxomerus geminatus, and Ant. Individuals can grow to 1.2 m.
