Rumex obtusifolius (Bitter Dock) is a species of perennial herb in the family Polygonaceae. They are native to Yugoslavia, Germany, Russia, United Kingdom, Poland, Lithuania, Azerbaijan, Taiwan, Portugal, Czech Republic, Norway, Belgium, Estonia, Italy, Austria, Moldova, China, Sweden, Hungary, France, Albania, Bulgaria, Iran, Turkey, Romania, The Netherlands, Ireland, Denmark, Spain, central europe, Switzerland, Algeria, Belarus, Greece, Georgia, and Latvia. They have achenes. Flowers are visited by Cheilosia variabilis, Cetema paramyopina, Cantharis pellucida, and Variable Duskyface Fly.
