Saponaria officinalis (Bouncingbet) is a species of perennial herb in the family carpetweeds. They are associated with freshwater habitat. They have purple flowers and capsule fruit. Flowers are visited by Carpenter bee, silver y, Pandora Sphinx, and brimstone. Individuals can grow to 2.2 feet.
