Picodynastornithes è un clade che contiene gli ordini Coraciiformes (kookaburra e martin pescatori) e Piciformes (picchi e tucani).[1] Questo raggruppamento ha anche il supporto attuale e storico di studi molecolari[2][3][4][1][5][6] e morfologici.[7]
