Sanguinaria canadensis (Bloodroot) is a species of perennial herb in the family Papaveraceae. They are native to Canada, The Contiguous United States, and Eastern North America. Flowers are visited by American Hover Fly, Cresson's Dialictus, Two-spotted Bumblebee, and Carlin's Andrena.
