Hymenophyllum hirsutum (Hairy Filmy Fern) is a species of perennial herb in the family filmy-ferns. They are native to Caatinga, Minas Gerais, Tocantins, Cerrado, SãO Paulo, Paraná, Ceará, Rio Grande Do Sul, Amazônia, Mata Atlântica, Bahia, Roraima, Espirito Santo, Pará, Santa Catarina, Pernambuco, Puerto Rico, Acre (Brazil), Amapá, Rio De Janeiro, and Mato Grosso. They have compound, broad leaves. They have alternation of generations.
