Pterocaulon pycnostachyum (Dense Spike Blackroot) is a species of perennial herb in the family Asteraceae. They are native to The Contiguous United States and Eastern North America. Flowers are visited by Delta Flower Scarab, Great Golden Digger Wasp, Gray Hairstreak, and Protographium marcellus.
