They are native to United States, Alaska, Western North America, Saint-Pierre Et Miquelon, Canada, and The Contiguous United States. They have compound, broad leaves, white flowers, and drupe. Flowers are visited by Osmia kincaidii, Indiscriminate Cuckoo Bumble Bee, Osmia juxta, and Cellophane bees. Individuals can grow to 9 feet.
