Macroptilium atropurpureum (Purple Bushbean) is a species of shrub in the family legumes. They are climbers. They are native to The Contiguous United States and Puerto Rico. They have compound, broad leaves and purple flowers. Flowers are visited by Dilemma Orchid Bee, Cloudless Sulphur, Centris lutea, and Cassius Blue. Individuals can grow to 4 feet.
