Sori in ovaries, oblong, about 5 or 6 mm. in length, showing between the glumes, upon rupture disclosing dark reddish-brown dusty spore-mass ; spores foetid, showing different stages of development, with youngest as hyaline cells smaller than the mature spores which are chestnut-brown, chiefly subspherical or spherical, provided with evident often regular polygonal reticulations (in some varying to irregularly elongate or somewhat cerebriform), which show at circumference as more or less evident winged projections 1-3 (i in height, 23-28 /i in diameter.
