Capricornis thar (Himalayan Serow) is a species of mammals in the family Bovidae. They are listed in cites appendix i. They are found in the indo-malayan realm and the palearctic. They are solitary herbivores. They rely on running to move around.

Definition: Appendix I lists species that are the most endangered among CITES-listed animals and plants.
