Verbesina encelioides (Golden Crownbeard) is a species of annual herb in the family Asteraceae. They are native to Puerto Rico, The Contiguous United States, and The Americas. They have yellow flowers. Flowers are visited by Ligated Furrow Bee, Vanessa cardui, Eufala Skipper, and Queen. Individuals can grow to 2 feet.
