Gasterosteus aculeatus (Banstickle) is a species of ray-finned fishes in the family sticklebacks. They are listed as endangered by COSEWIC. They are associated with freshwater habitat. They are native to Atlantic Ocean, The Nearctic, Pacific Ocean, and the Palearctic. They are carnivores. Individuals can grow to 11 cm. They have sexual reproduction.
