Chironectes minimus (Water Opossum) is a species of Mammal in the family Didelphidae. They are native to The Neotropics. They are solitary, nocturnal omnivores. Individuals are known to live for 36 months and can grow to 297.5 mm. Reproduction is viviparous. They have parental care (female provides care and paternal care). They rely on swimming to move around.
