Polianthes tuberosa L.), Bunga sedap malam], Spiny fiddlewood, Jamaican fiddlewood, Fiddlewood, Florida fiddlewood. Native of Florida, Caribbean, northern South America; elsewhere cultivated as ornamental and for its fragrant flowers. A treelet that reaches a height of up to 15 m. Leaves ovate to elliptic ca 420 cm long; orange petioles. Small white flowers are produced throughout the year on hanging axillary and terminal racemes and panicles 2040 cm in length. The fruits are red to black subglobose drupes 710 mm in diameter.Synonym(s):
