A marine species of crab.
In an expedition from 1899-1990 specimens were taken on the shore in Minikoi and Goifurfehendu Atolls, and dredged from 12 fathoms in the Fadifolu Atoll. (Borradaile, p. 251)
This marine crab species has also been found in the Comores, Madagascar, Mauritius, Mozambique, the Red Sea, Seychelles, Somalia, and Tanzania. (WoRMS)
