Caudal-fin rays 8; pectoral girdle with 3 radials, upper dorsally notched: chin pores not in a pit or other depression, interspace equals their diameter; gill opening ventral end and dorsal pectoral ray on horizontal through eye center; opercular flap dorsally rounded, tip of operculum dorsally directed; pectoral without rudimentary rays; HL 18% SL, preanal length 34%; body and head dark blackish-brown, mouth and tongue grey, peritoneum black (Ref. 42734).
