Polygala longipes Blake, Contr. Gray Herb. 47: 40. 1916.
Stem slender, very finely strigillose, 3 dm. high and more; leaves lanceolate, 5.4-6.5 cm. long, 9-14 mm. wide, long-acuminate, cuspidate, thin, above green, minutely and sparsely strigillose, at length glabrate, beneath slightly paler, along the veins minutely strigillose, subglabrous between them; branch-leaves linear; racemes loose, 14.5 cm. long or less; pedicels 5-8 mm. long; flowers apparently ochroleucous ; sepals lance-ovate, 2-2.5 mm. long; wings oblong-oval, rounded at apex and there ciliolate, sparsely appressed-puberulous along costa, 6.6 mm. long, 3.3 mm. wide; keel 6.8-7.1 mm. long; capsule elliptic, ciliate; seed unknown.
Type locality: Oaxaca (state).
Distribution: Known only from the type locality.
