They are native to Mato Grosso Do Sul, GoiáS, Minas Gerais, Amazônia, SãO Paulo, Piauí, Paraná, Tocantins, Mata Atlântica, Acre (Brazil), Mato Grosso, Roraima, North America, Espirito Santo, Rio De Janeiro, Cerrado, Distrito Federal, Bahia, Ceará, Caatinga, The Contiguous United States, Pará, and Maranhao. Flowers are visited by Honey bee.
