They are native to Cerrado, Pampa, The Americas, SãO Paulo, Rio Grande Do Sul, Santa Catarina, Mata Atlântica, Rio De Janeiro, and Paraná. They have achenes. Flowers are visited by Augochlora semiramis, Eufala Skipper, Astylus quadrilineatus, and Honey bee.
