Eggs are attached to the ceiling of caves, female cares for eggs and larvae (Ref. 47893).

Inhabits rivers (Ref. 12251).

Apparently prefers extremely shallow habitats (10-40 cm deep). Often under and among leaves which provide cover and protection, with forest litter used for depositing eggs (Ref. 58483).
