Rupicapra rupicapra ((Pronounce: Sha Mee Or Sham Wa)) is a species of mammals in the family Bovidae. They are native to Greece, Slovakia, Germany, Yugoslavia, Switzerland, Macedonia, Turkey, Georgia, Russia, Poland, Slovenia, Serbia, Italy, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Romania, Austria, France, the Palearctic, Azerbaijan, Montenegro, Bulgaria, Croatia, and Albania. They are solitary herbivores. Individuals are known to live for 264 months. Reproduction is viviparous. They have parental care (female provides care). They rely on running to move around.
