Symphyotrichum oblongifolium (Aromatic Aster) is a species of perennial herb in the family Asteraceae. They are native to The Contiguous United States, Eastern North America, and The Americas. They have magenta flowers and achenes. Flowers are visited by Honey bee, Syrphid fly, Common Compost Fly, and Narrow-headed Marsh Fly.
