Hymenaea courbaril (Stinkingtoe) is a species of tree in the family legumes. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to Mata Atlântica, RondôNia, Distrito Federal, Cerrado, Paraná, GoiáS, Maranhao, Tocantins, Amazônia, Mato Grosso Do Sul, Espirito Santo, Bahia, Pantanal, ParaíBa, Mato Grosso, Minas Gerais, Ceará, Sergipe, Caatinga, Amapá, Roraima, Pernambuco, U.S. Virgin Islands, Rio De Janeiro, Acre (Brazil), Rio Grande Do Norte, Pará, SãO Paulo, Piauí, Puerto Rico, and Alagoas. They have compound, broad leaves and white flowers. Individuals can grow to 34 m.
