Cynara scolymus (Globe Artichoke) is a species of perennial herb in the family Asteraceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to mediterranean basin. They have simple, broad leaves and achenes. Flowers are visited by Black Tail Bumble Bee, Vosnesensky Bumble Bee, and Honey bee. Individuals can grow to 0.71 m.
