Citharexylum spinosum (Bois Carre) is a species of tree in the family Verbenaceae. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to United States, The Bahamas, Hispaniola, Lesser Antilles, Puerto Rico, Greater Antilles, The Contiguous United States, Guyana, Venezuela, The Americas, U.S. Virgin Islands, and Suriname. They have simple, broad leaves. Flowers are visited by Ruddy Daggerwing, Atala, Cigaritis ictis, and Catopsilia pomona. Individuals can grow to 12 m.
