Portulaca oleracea (Common Purslane) is a species of annual herb in the family Portulacaceae. They are succulent plants. They have a self-supporting growth form. They are native to The Contiguous United States, Canada, and Pacific Basin excluding Hawaii. They have simple, broad leaves and capsule fruit. Flowers are visited by Trigonisca intermedia, Trigona, Colletes productus, and Xylocopa. Individuals can grow to 0.05 m.
