Rhynchopelates oxyrhynchus és una espècie de peix pertanyent a la família dels terapòntids i l'única del gènere Rhynchopelates.[4]
Descripció
- Pot arribar a fer 25 cm de llargària màxima.[5][6]
Alimentació
Menja invertebrats i peixos.[7]
Hàbitat
És un peix marí, d'aigua dolça i salabrosa, bentopelàgic i de clima tropical (40°N-5°N, 105°E-132°E).[5]
Distribució geogràfica
Es troba al Pacífic occidental: des del sud del Japó fins a les illes Filipines.[5][8][9][10][11][12][13][14][15][16][17][18]
Observacions
És inofensiu per als humans i criat comercialment al Japó.[5]
